House Cleaning Tips:
#1 Get Rid Of Chemicals!

Getting rid of chmicals is the most important of house cleaning tips.

Did you know that cleaning chemicals emit toxic pollutants into air even while they are stored.

You do not need any of those smelly, toxic things to keep your home clean. And your home is never as dirty as in the ads of cleaning chemicals!
Well, if it is, then I have no idea why you are on this site.

It's time to get rid of all synthetic, harmful cleaning chemical bottles! Start cleaning to make your home a CLEANER place to live instead of threatening your family's health with the smelly chemicals.

Make sure you get rid of chemicals safely. Find out where (and when) you can dispose toxic household chemicals. You can not just toss them into garbage!

Here are some of my favorite house cleaning tips:

Chocolate
Chocolate stains disappear if you pour mineral water on them a few times before washing.

Copper
Copper ware can be cleaned with usual ketchup!

Empty toothpastes
Don't throw away, instead cut the tubes in half and there will be enough toothpaste inside for cleaning your copper and metal objects.

Faucets
Rub faucets with newspapers and they will shine again!

Foil
Crinkled foil can be used instead of steel wool.
Especially good for cleaning hobs.
Foil is also good for packing away linen sheets. Packing them in foil prevents them from going yellowish.

Fish frying pan
After frying fish pour a little water on the pan and add a tablespoon of ground coffee. Boil for a while before washing the pan.

Garlic press
Garlic press can be cleaned with an old toothbrush.
Or another tip is just to press a piece of potato through it.

Glass door on fireplace
A fireplace's glass door is usually hard to clean. Take a damp cloth, dip it in fireplace's ash tray and clean the glass with ash!

Leather shoes
Leather shoes can be cleaned with banana peels.

Refrigerator seals
Refrigerator seals can be easily cleaned with cotton sticks.

Rust on metal
Rub metal objects with half an onion.

Stainless sink
A stainless sink will go clean and shiny if you rub it with a damp cloth that has a little baking powder on.

Stainless steel
Stainless steel pots and pans shine again if you rub them with a slightly damp cloth dipped in wheat flour.
Another way is to take a piece of cork (wine cork for example), dip it in cooking oil and rub the stains on pots and pans with it.

Tomato juice in vase
To get rid of ugly old water stains in vases pour tomato juice in them and leave for a little while. Then pour it out and wash.

Wine stains
Wine stains can be removed if you hold the stain in boiling milk for a while.

Wrinkled tablecloths
If you don't have time to iron tablecloths before putting them on table then just sprinkle a little water on the folds and they will dry out.

Don't worry, be happy!

You don't need to keep your home shining bright.
Actually a small amount of natural dirt is even healthy. Then our immune systems, specially childrens', learn to fight bacteria and won't get sick easily.

It's much worse if you "clean" your home every day with toxic chemicals. The pollutants in cleaning chemicals and in building materials can cause illnesses, such as Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, allergies and even asthma.
Chemicals are never natural!

Instead use the natural house cleaning tips and add yours as well!

Have you ever thought, how people cleaned their homes when there were no such things as cleaning chemicals?
Yeah, they cleaned their homes WITHOUT chemicals!

You might not be able to change what your home is made of but you can certainly change what's inside your home.

"Green" cleaners

Did you know that even the "green" cleaners available at eco-shops, are only "green" for the environment, but can still harm your health.
Most of them have warning signs of "highly toxic" etc. And they are even less efficient than natural cleaners.
Plus, alternative cleaners are cheaper, too.

That is why it is best to use only the cleaners that are also "edible". So you can be sure they wouldn't harm anyones health.
